Funds authorized and managed by Scudo Investimenti SG are:
- in transferable securities: capital is exclusively invested in financial instruments;
- open-ended: at the date of asset appreciation investors may either subscribe fund units or ask for partial or total redemption of subscribed ones;
- alternative: notably the fund manager may operate at variance with a prohibition to sell without coverage in financial instruments;
- reserved to professional clients: entities and businesses operating in the sector, governments and international institutions having the necessary expertise, knowledge and competence in investments and related risk evaluation, qualified clients of the private sector falling within the scope of the definition under San Marino law.
The "Single Regulation for Open-End Collective Investment Funds Reserved to Professional Clients", approved by the San Marino Central Bank, describes the features, terms and conditions of authorized Funds.
Subject to the prior authorization of the Supervisory Authority, Scudo Investimenti SG may also form and manage closed-end funds, which can be structured and customized according to the special needs of the clientele. It may also provide investment portfolio management services on an individual basis on behalf of third parties.
